How to Find Your Account Number
Your bank account number is unique to your personal account. Unlike a routing number (which identifies the bank), the account number identifies you.
1. On a Paper Check
The easiest way to find your account number is on a personal check. Look at the bottom of the check:
(9 Digits)
(10-12 Digits)
2. Online Banking
If you don't have checks, log in to your bank's website:
- Log in to your account.
- Click on the specific account (e.g., "Checking").
- Look for a "Details" or "Account Info" tab.
- The account number is often masked (e.g., xxxxx1234). Click "Show" to reveal it.
3. Mobile App
Most banking apps work similarly to the website. Tap on your account, then look for "Account Details" or "Routing & Account Numbers".
Security Tip: Never share your account number with anyone unless you trust them completely. With your routing and account number, someone can withdraw money from your account.
